Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the event "Meet Our Job – Alternatives to a Scientific Research Career", which will take place on June 3rd at Subunit 3, Polo III, UC.

Given the current challenges faced by the scientific landscape in Portugal, it is increasingly important to explore and highlight alternative careers to the instability of academic research

With this goal in mind, the event “Meet Our Job – Alternatives to a Scientific Research Career” aims to bring students and researchers closer to professionals who have transitioned into other fields, and is open to the UC community in the health sciences field.

The final programme will be announced soon and includes talks, speed-dating sessions, and a roundtable titled "Beyond Academia: Perspectives and Pathways in the Health Sector", offering a unique opportunity for direct contact and experience sharing.

Above all, the event aims to foster dialogue and inspire new career perspectives, addressing a growing need within the Portuguese scientific community.

The event is free of charge but limited to 120 participants and will be held in Portuguese.
