Aim

This advanced PhD course aims to prepare students with a deep, practice-oriented understanding of state-of-the-art proteomics methodologies and their application across diverse areas of Life Sciences. Building on a solid conceptual foundation, the course guides students through the full experimental and analytical workflow, from sample preparation and data acquisition to quantitative analysis, functional interpretation, and biological contextualization. By engaging with real datasets, hands-on computational tools, and expert-led thematic sessions, students develop the ability to critically design proteomics experiments, interpret complex datasets, and integrate proteomic information into broader biological and translational research questions. Ultimately, the course prepares participants to apply advanced mass spectrometry-based strategies to elucidate molecular mechanisms, identify biomarkers, and explore proteome dynamics in health, disease, and biotechnology.
